Drive Away with the Panerai Ferrari Scuderia Chrono

Panerai, one of the most renowned names in luxury watch making, has expanded its Scuderia collection by teaming up with luxury car maker Ferrari to introduce the Ferrari Scuderia Chrono 1/8 second. This timepiece sports a yellow shield, yellow hands, stainless steel case measuring 45mm in diameter, polished finish, brushed edges, and the Tachymeter scale.

A user will also notice the two subsidiary counters in the minutes for the 1/8 second feature. Its rotor is engraved with distinctive Ferrari horse emblem. Being 100 meter water resistant, the case also uses screw-down push pieces for its chronograph, the winding crow, and a square grilled design.

The black dial features the Ferrari shield at the 12 o’clock with Arabic numerals as well as the tachymeter scale. The minute counter is placed at 3 o’clock. Meanwhile, the 1/8 dial is placed at 9 o’clock. Protected with sapphire crystal, the dial is also treated for anti-reflection.

Aside from its bold design, this chronograph watch is also technically advanced. The Panerai Ferrari Scuderia Chrono is equipped with the Panerai calibre OP XXI which performs 28,000 alterations every hour. This mechanism also provides anti-shock and 42-hour power reserve for the timepiece.

That’s not quite as powerful as Ferrari’s Formula One car, but it handles corners better.
